Amy Rea is a dynamic mixed-media artist whose work is deeply informed by her interdisciplinary background in Fine Arts, Psychology, and Education. Holding both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania, she seamlessly blends technical precision with expressive experimentation. With a strong foundation in drawing and painting, she manipulates light and shadow to create depth and intrigue. Amy’s approach is rooted in painterly techniques, as she weaves line, color, and texture into her compositions through mixed media and collage. Driven by an innate curiosity for contrasts, she explores the interplay between movement and stillness, striking a delicate balance—sometimes an intentional imbalance—between positive and negative space. Amy’s work invites viewers to engage with shifting perspectives, encouraging a dialogue between structure and spontaneity, order and chaos.
