Sue Apter

The creation of art has been a form of self- expression and joy in my life. Since retiring from a fulfilling career in Social Work I have been afforded the opportunity to pursue art in more depth. My use of mediums has evolved; beginning with mixed media and collage and eventually incorporating encaustic and 3-d pieces utilizing interesting found objects. I am intrigued by color, shape, composition, and texture, with a tendency towards abstraction in my subject matter. In pursuing this avenue of expression, I have encountered a community of like-minded, talented, and generous individuals who have enhanced my life and inspired me and my art.
